Furman Hall, New York University - 245 Sullivan Street, NYC - August 2009 . . . . During the construction of this building in 2002, New York University demolished a 19th Century house in which author Edgar Allen Poe lived and wrote for part of 1845. This facade recreation, embedded in a larger structure, was an attempt to mollify their unhappy neighbors.
